There are so many ways to participate in the conference!
The conference is a labor of love and hard work! More hands make it more fun for everyone. Do you want to work behind the scenes while you learn the lay of the land? We've got those kind of jobs. Want to stand out and be seen? We've got those kind of jobs too!
Whether you're an introvert or an extrovert, we love your help and your dedication to the profession. Step up your participation and join us in planning the next conference!
Did you know participating on a conference committee could earn you GISP points!
Do you have a skill and love to teach about it? We love it when our smart, capable and talented members (like you!) share your knowledge! It's a win-win situation. What's in it for me, you ask? We now pay our workshop instructors!
All submissions are welcome and will be evaluated for fit and clarity. Conference workshops are held on the first day of the conference, which this year is May 21, 2018.
See all the details in this flyer and contact email@example.com if you have questions.
30 minute presentation? Lightning talk? Panel moderator? Which would you prefer? All are welcome!
User presentations are what make the WA GIS Conference great and unique every year! We encourage you to share what you've been working on, what you've learned, what worked and what didn't (!), and your success stories! We think you'll find the audience attentive and appreciative.
More details are in the flyer.
By the way, did you know that presenting at a conference is worth GIS points? And that supervisors are more likely to approve your attending the conference when you mention that you'll also be representing your agency in a great way at a professional meeting!
Share your hard work with colleagues at our poster gallery.
You know who we are talking about. That person that exudes professionalism, grace, and a get-it-done-with-a-smile attitude. Well you may know them, but we want to know them too! If someone popped into your mind while you were reading that, we think you might want to nominate them for the Summit Award. It recognizes "highest contribution to the Washington GIS Community".
More details coming soon!
Are you a morning person? We have a breakfast event you might be interested in!
How about a evening social butterfly? We have a few events you might enjoy! (Uh, karaoke anyone? If you,re not singing you can be clapping and egging them on!)
How about a fitness guru that loves to run? We even have a fun run for you!
More information about all that and more coming soon - but you must be a registered member to get the details. So what are you waiting for? Go! Go! Go! register and then come back and get the details!
